Special presentation Sunday at Congregational Christian Church
Carol Newsom, a native of David City who graduated from DCHS and went on to study special education at UNL, will be returning to her hometown to give witness to her outreach to those who do not know the English language and wish to learn.
She will be the featured speaker at 10 a.m. Sunday at Congregational-Christian Church at 696 5th Street in David City. She will share her faith in this outreach at morning worship. Pastor Jack McDonald invites all who are interested to come to this service.
Newsom donates her time and effort from her Lincoln kitchen teaching English to people from Nepal, China, Belarus, and Siberia. Her calling to this ministry came as a result of a challenge by her pastor in Lincoln to do something for her community to make a difference.
Immediately after the service a covered dish luncheon will be provided to give time to visit with Carol and enjoy the fellowship of those present.
Donations to the covered dish meal will be graciously accepted. If you have any questions or wish to RSVP, please call Jack McDonald at 402-538-3270.
