Musical Soiree on the Square
The Musical Soiree on the Square, scheduled to be held on David City's downtown square July 30, will feature new events and provide much-needed funds for the Thorpe Opera House renovation. Last summer, the Butler County Arts Council sponsored the first annual Musical Soiree, and those attending experienced a Butler County Music Clinic, Studio Trio, performers Bill Andel, Vern Dvorak, Barb McClintic, carriage rides by Sonora Carriage Company, and story hour with Jarod Ockander. Registrations available at Butler County Chamber of Commerce. This collaboration is held in the on-going effort to raise funds for the Thorpe Opera House renovations. All proceeds from the a burger bash and Butler County Idol will be used to restore a beautiful piece of downtown David City to its former glory. Submitted by Stephanie Summers
