RCPS Board issues statement on merger

With 90 years of combined experience, the Board of Education of Rising City Public Schools has made thousands of decisions.
Regardless of the issue at hand or its severity, we have always had the good fortune to agree on our direction for the future.
The issue of consolidation, however, has proven to be more difficult than any we have dealt with before and we now find ourselves deadlocked. This being the case, we as a board have decided to put the question of who to consolidate with to a vote of our district patrons.
Soon all eligible voters will receive a ballot in the mail to give us direction on how to proceed.
